What do embalming, truck driving and aviation have in common? The answer is an Oberdorfer™ pump. We’ve been keeping the wheels of commerce turning and we have no plans to stop. Thanks to our multiline product family and more than 100 years of pumping innovation, no matter your application, there’s an Oberdorfer™ product that can be easily integrated into your system.
Oberdorfer centrifugal pumps are used for the blood removal from corpses and then pumping embalming fluid.
Oberdorfer gear pumps are used to draw samples from canals and waste areas to test the cleanliness of the water.
Oberdorfer flexible impeller pumps are used to move waste water with light sludge in a sewage treatment plant. The closed coupled flexible pumps have flexible blades on the periphery of the impeller provide the pumping action. While the impeller rotates, the liquid between the blades is continuously squeezed out into the discharge port by a cam located inside the pumping chamber. The flow may be throttled or shut off for a short period without the need of a relief valve.
Oberdorfer pumps are suited for a variety of applications including condensate removal. They are particularly well suited for handling soap solutions in extraction type carpet cleaning equipment. The design's symmetry provides a wide range of configuration possibilities allowing ready customization of discharge port position and optional air vent orientation relative to the motor base.
