Flexible Drive Options
Choose the drive method that best suits your setup, whether it's a direct drive with flexible coupling or a pulley drive. Proper alignment is crucial for flexible couplings, and when using a pulley, avoid over-tightening the belt. For higher pressures and larger pumps, an external ball bearing support is recommended—our team is here to help with these details.
Handling a Range of Liquids and High Temperatures
The N4000 pump excels when handling clean liquids with some lubrication. Keep in mind that fine abrasives can accelerate wear, so it's best to pump liquids compatible with bronze and stainless steel. Our pumps are designed for a wide temperature range, from -40°F to 400°F (-40°C to 204°C), though it's important to avoid temperature extremes for optimal service life.
Effective Suction Lift Capabilities
Thanks to its close tolerances and positive displacement action, this rotary gear pump can lift water on the suction side up to 20 feet (6.1 meters). Although self-priming, we recommend using a foot valve. For the initial dry start, pre-wetting the gears with the liquid is advised for the best performance.
Best Practices for Longevity
For high pressures over 100 PSI (6.9 bar), the N4000 is suited for fluids with lubricity, such as oils and polymers. Fluids without lubricity, like water or solvents, may reduce service life.
Simplified Parts and Maintenance
Please note that the pump's bypass is not for metering or flow control—it serves as a pressure relief. To adjust the by-pass valve set point, simply turn the valve adjusting screw clockwise.
The N4000 Bronze Gear Pump is designed with your needs in mind, offering a robust, efficient, and adaptable pumping solution. Choose the N4000 for smooth and quiet operation, backed by the durability and quality you can trust.
