Bronze Rotary Gear Pump - N3000

Enhance your fluid transfer operations with our superior Bronze Gear Pump N3000, meticulously designed for top-notch performance and endurance. This pump features housing and gears crafted from the finest bronze, combined with sturdy 303 stainless steel shafts. The carbon-graphite bearings are specifically selected for their exceptional wear resistance, ensuring your pump operates efficiently for years to come.

The N3000 is a positive displacement pump, meaning it moves a specific volume of fluid with each rotation of the shaft, offering a consistent flow rate that is virtually unaffected by the back pressure in the discharge line. Enjoy precise and predictable pumping, as the shaft speed directly correlates with the flow.

Premium Features:

  • Bronze castings resistant to corrosion for extended durability
  • Custom-made bronze gears for reliable operation
  • High-strength 303 stainless steel shafts and fasteners
  • Sealing options including standard formed ring seal packing, with lip and mechanical seals available upon request
  • Long-lasting, self-lubricating carbon bearings for a reduction in maintenance
  • Consistent positive displacement flow for precise liquid management

Versatile Drive Mechanisms:
Our pump can be driven by either a direct drive using a flexible coupling or a pulley drive system. It's important to correctly align the flexible coupling halves. For pulley systems, avoid over-tightening the belt to prevent stress. For larger pumps or those operating under higher pressure, we recommend an external ball bearing support for extra stability – please contact us for expert advice.

Efficient Liquid and Temperature Handling:

To maximize the service life of your pump, use clean liquids with lubricating properties. The tight tolerances of the N3000 mean that abrasive materials like sand or powders can hasten wear and diminish performance. It's suitable for any liquid that is non-reactive with bronze and stainless steel, so long as you've selected the appropriate seals. Regular flushing after use is advised to maintain optimal operation.

The pump's basic construction materials are suitable for a temperature range from -40°F to 400°F (-40°C to 204°C), while certain seals are rated to a maximum of 212°F (100°C). Avoid extreme temperatures and do not allow liquids to freeze inside the pump to prevent potential damage.

Superior Suction Lift:

The precise engineering of our rotary gear pump allows it to lift water up to 20 feet (6.1 meters) on the suction side. These pumps are self-priming, but we recommend a foot valve for the best results. Moisten the gears with the liquid to be pumped before the initial dry start, as this will help to "wet" the pump for easier starting in the future.

By-Pass and Rotation Considerations:

Please note that the pump's by-pass is designed as a pressure relief and is not meant for flow control or metering. If the discharge line is closed for an extended period, overheating can occur quickly, typically within 5–10 minutes. Also, changing the pump's rotation will reverse the "IN" and "OUT" ports, and the by-pass ports will need to be adjusted accordingly.

The by-pass valve is preset at the factory to 50 psi (3.45 bar), but you can adjust the pressure setting by turning the by-pass valve adjusting screw clockwise.
