Performance
- Drive: Recommended as a direct drive gear pump, the N26HDP can also be configured for belt drive applications, supported by an outboard ball bearing for enhanced performance without the need for pillow block bearings.
- Drive & Alignment: Whether you choose a direct drive with flexible coupling or a pulley drive, the N26HDP accommodates various setups while emphasizing the importance of gear pump alignment for optimal service life.
- NOISE: As a low-noise gear pump, the N26HDP is designed to operate with minimal sound, but as with all large gear pumps, some noise is inherent due to metal-on-metal contact.
Suction Lift:
- High Suction Lift Gear Pump: This pump is a powerful rotary gear pump that can lift water up to 20 feet (~6 m) on the suction side, making it ideal for a range of applications.
- Self-Priming Gear Pump: While the N26HDP is self-priming, the inclusion of a gear pump foot valve is recommended to ensure reliable operation.
Liquids & Temperatures:
- High-Temperature Service: The N26HDP is built to operate as a gear pump for high-temperature liquids, though keeping the liquid close to room temperature is advisable to reduce wear.
Service Wear Factors:
- Speed: To extend the life of your pump, operate it at a low speed. The N26HDP is designed as a low-speed gear pump, ideal for maintaining performance without undue wear.
- Pressure: This high-pressure gear pump can handle challenging conditions, but operating at lower pressures when possible will help prolong the pump’s lifespan.
- Liquid Contamination: Keep your liquids clean to prevent abrasion, ensuring that the N26HDP continues to function as an abrasion-resistant gear pump.
- Liquid Lubricity: The use of lubricant additives can enhance the N26HDP’s service life, making it a lubricity enhancing gear pump.
